Higher km/L or mpg means less fuel for the same distance. Lower L/100km means less fuel. Converting between these forms is reciprocal, not a constant multiplication.
Check before using the result
- mpg here uses a US gallon. An Imperial-mpg figure requires a different conversion.
- Zero and negative inputs are rejected. Real trip fuel also depends on load, speed, route, traffic and measurement conditions.
