Calendar age is not a simple day count divided by 365.25 — months have unequal lengths and leap years shift the boundary. The correct method subtracts the calendar components (year, month, day) and borrows from the previous month when the day component is negative, exactly as civil registries do.

DOB calculator: how age from date of birth is calculated

A DOB calculator compares the date of birth with a reference date and returns completed calendar years, remaining months and remaining days. This is different from simply dividing elapsed days by 365 because calendar months have different lengths and leap years add an extra day.

The calculator above uses calendar subtraction with borrowing. If the reference-day number is earlier than the birth-day number, it borrows the correct number of days from the previous calendar month. If the month becomes negative, it borrows one year. The result is an exact calendar-style age such as 30 years, 2 months and 14 days.
