How to use this calculator: Date Difference Calculator
Find the exact difference between two dates in total days, weeks and calendar years/months/days, with optional inclusive counting and weekend-excluded business days. The example below is calculated by this page's real engine from the displayed inputs.
- 1Select the first date in the period. The calculator works even when the dates are entered in reverse order.
- 2Select the second date and check both calendar values before calculating.
- 3Use plain difference for elapsed time, or include the end day when the rule requires both boundary dates to be counted.
- 4Calendar years, months and days describe the interval in date terms; total days gives one continuous day count.
- 5The business-day result excludes weekends only. Subtract applicable public holidays separately.
